In collaboration with the Chourrout group at the Sars International Centre for Marine Molecular Biology, we have sequenced , assembled and annotated the reference genome for Oikopleura dioica. We have performed various comparative genomics analyses with this genome sequence, including a global intron/exon gene organization study that revealed the very fast pace of gene evolution in this organism.
